B.C. Prosthetic & Orthotic Services will work closely with you and your health care professionals. We provide consulting services at the hospital to ensure that we can work with you, your doctors and your therapists to meet your needs and enhance your mobility in the timeliest and most efficient manner.

Our caring and professional service continues beyond the initial design consultation and fitting. Periodic check-ups will help maintain a quality fit and continued function. We can also keep you advised of new developments which may enhance the movement and durability of your prosthesis. We strongly recommend that growing children and aging seniors come in regularly to ensure that their prostheses are adapted to their changing bodies.

New Technology

New advances in material development and technology offer lightweight and comfortably fitted appliances. Innovative plastics, acrylics and carbon fibre components in association with computer technology provide a diversity of applications from simple to difficult mobility challenges.

B.C. Custom Prosthetic & Orthotic Services ensures that every individual’s needs are met to the tiniest detail. Custom colors, fabrics, and computer imaging of the client in motion help us to satisfy our customers with excellent fit, durability and appearance.

Financing

There are several sources of funding available to assist in covering the expenses of appliances. Pharmacare coverage, private insurance and WCB insurance are some of the many programs in place. B.C. Prosthetic & Orthotic Services work with every individual to identify program eligibility and apply for the level of funding required.
